Mental Health Awareness

StayWhole Foundation is a Florida State non-profit that focuses on spreading mental health awareness to communities and student-athletes. The foundation focuses on teaching people how to manage their mental capacity, emotions, and daily stress. Jaitesha Hanson founded the organization.

StayWhole emphasizes preventive tactics to strengthen and maintain mental health as opposed to waiting until after individuals have reached a breaking point to provide services to them. Another goal is to proactively provide the public with information about mental health and its components, including stress, anxiety, and self-esteem. StayWhole aims to achieve these goals by hosting events, conventions, and community outreach projects. It also seeks to provide mental and life skill programs that bring awareness, communication, and solutions. [/ezcol_3fifth_end]

A Time of Inspiration
StayWhole Foundation Founder Jaitesha Hanson

Jaitesha Hanson, founder of StayWhole Foundation.

Jaitesha Hanson graduated from the University of North Florida with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Holistic Health. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Clinical Psychology and plans to also attain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Jaitesha was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in her senior year of high school. It took hitting rock bottom for her to begin growing as a person, and as a result, that experience inspired her to help others do the same. Her goal is for StayWhole Foundation to mentor and help those who suffer both directly and indirectly from mental health issues.

Looking Towards the Future

For future projects, StayWhole plans to build a facility to hold events, mental health programs, and activities. Another project will develop a different sort of hotline. People suffering from mental illness may hesitate to call a crisis or suicide hotline; StayWhole seeks to change that. This will be a hotline for anyone to call or text, regardless of the situation, in order to get help.

Humanitarian Social Innovations is proud to have the StayWhole Foundation join our community of social change. We look forward to helping StayWhole grow its impact on humanity.
