New Program: One Mom Three Girls
“Defying the Odds & Rising Above”
Humanitarian Social Innovations is proud to announce a new member of our social entrepreneur community: One Mom Three Girls, Inc. One Mom Three Girls is an Ohio-based non-profit meant to aid single-parent homes that struggle with financial stability. They provide financial literacy, basic necessities, and mentorship that will empower single parents to defy odds. As a result, these struggling families will develop a sense of purpose, passion, and prestige.

A Dream to Help Moms
Raven Woodie founded OMTG in June of 2017. Raven dreamed of a world where single parents are empowered and are no longer held back by their past or current situation. So she created OMTG to help single-parent homes get out of their hard financial situations and obtain new heights.
How OMTG Impacts Families
One of their programs is Blessing Boxes. These boxes include different household necessities for single-parent homes. OMTG delivers the boxes on the 15th of each month, so as to prevent the “mid-month penny-pinching” that many single parents experience. Another OMTG program is Project Warm Columbus, which launched on January 4, 2018. The project involves OMTG visiting homeless camps in Columbus, Ohio, and handing out warm clothing, propane tanks, canned goods and various other items for aid.
The Future for One Mom Three Girls
OMTG has grown since its inception, but Raven still believes there is more work to be done. The programs have already assisted many people, but she is planning to perfect and organize them. OMTG will, therefore, work on obtaining a consistent flow of products and aid for the Blessing Boxes and increasing the scale of Project Warm Columbus. HSI will be helping Raven and her volunteers reach these goals and lift up even more single-parent homes in the future.
